Sharpening

$25.00 to joint, set and sharpen

I make sure all saws that come through my shop are jointed, hammer set, sharpened and finally tested before leaving my hands. I joint all saws for an even toothline. I use a hammer-set style setter for even set consistency. Every saw is sharpened by hand and finally tested in hardwood.

Retoothing

$10 to retooth up to 16 ppi

For an additional charge to sharpening I can retooth your saw plate. From 4 points per inch on up to 16 points per inch.

Cleaning

Cost depends on condition.

Saws I clean are done carefully. Preserving the etch if the saw still has one is my main concern. Rust, dirt and grime will all be removed without damaging the plate or handle. Every saw will get polished to protect the metal and oiled to protect the handle. Send me pictures of your saw and we can establish pricing and what work needs to be done.

Repairs

Cost depends on condition.

It is very common to have a handle that needs a little TLC. Broken horns being the most common damage. View my gallery for examples of past repairs. Most bends and dents in the plate can also be repaired with a little time. If your plate is pitted or damaged beyond repair, I can replace your plate with a new one.. Send me pictures to determine what is needed and for pricing.
