Chain driven GA

Steadily moving along. Sharpened three saws, sold a dovetail saw and I sold a D-8. Yesterday though, I did something cool for myself. My medium arm Dewalt GA radial arm saw cuts beautifully and I decided to attach the chain drive that came with it. A previous owner had it done and they lined everything up for nicely. It unfortunately takes a couple inches from the crosscut length. So my max is 22 inches.

I wanted to hook it all up and see how i liked it. It’s pretty smooth, I can still push and pull by hand or use the crank. So… I plan to add a spacer and extend the chain later on to get that full 24 inches back.
